Thursday, March 16th, LA Rope hosted Murasaki sensei with Iroha for an advanced workshop on Yukimura Ryuu.
We began the evening with a ceremony remembering Yukimura sensei who passed away a little over a year ago. Â Participants were invited to light incense in memory of sensei.
Throughout the evening, Murasaki sensei discussed many of the finer points of Yukimura’s one rope gote and demonstrated advanced ties. Â With a focus on safety, feeling, and communication, the workshop provided in depth and focused instruction and helped advance our understanding of Yukimura sensei’s unique style.
