Class begins with an historical overview of the history and background of Japanese rope bondage. We discuss various kinds of rope, basic safety information, and the basic philosophy of the dojo. The remainder of the class is focused on basic instruction of fundamental ties and some additional time at the end for exploration and practice.
If you are being tied, we recommend the kind of clothes you might wear to the gym or for yoga. Please avoid watches, fitbits or bracelets that might interfere with the hands of the wrists. If you have long hair it may be helpful to bring something to allow you to tie it back to keep out of the way.
Participants are free to dress or undress in any way they see fit. Generally speaking, participants usually remain fully clothed.
